The Role
The Structural Engineer will support the design and delivery of a wide variety of building projects, including:
- K-12 and higher‑education facilities
- Churches and community buildings

This is a full‑time, in‑office role based in Wichita, working closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure that every design meets the functional and aesthetic goals of each client.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and production of structural drawings, electronic models, specifications, and written reports.
- Perform structural calculations using steel, concrete, and other building materials.
- Support material selection and recommend appropriate systems and structural strategies.
- Contribute to proposals, interview preparation, and client presentations.
- Participate in client meetings to understand project goals, constraints, and design intent.
- Provide guidance and technical direction to production staff.
- Prepare observation reports and support field/site activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- 3-12 years of relevant structural engineering experience in building design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas is preferred, or active progress toward licensure.
- Familiarity with drafting and modeling tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, Enercalc).
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong professional judgement, ability to work independently, and respect for confidentiality.
- Ability to meet firm and client safety, drug, and alcohol program requirements.
