A well regarded engineering firm in Newport Beach is seeking a Structural Engineer to support a wide range of coastal, commercial, and high end residential projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed technical work and wants to contribute to safe and resilient structures in a coastal setting.
Responsibilities:
* Complete structural analysis and design using various materials including concrete, steel, wood, and CMU
* Produce clear calculations, detailed drawings, and well organized documentation
* Coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants to solve problems early and efficiently
* Review plans and specifications for accuracy, code compliance, and constructability
* Contribute to project schedules and help manage workload across multiple active projects
* Assist with mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices internally
* Maintain strong communication with clients and support the delivery of high quality work
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
* At least 5 years of structural engineering experience
* Active California PE license
* Solid understanding of local building codes and coastal design considerations
* Ability to balance several deadlines while keeping work precise and organized
