The Role

This is a senior-level Structural Engineer position responsible for leading the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through construction. The successful candidate will oversee project execution, manage technical design activities, coordinate with clients and project stakeholders, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality project delivery. The role offers significant autonomy, technical responsibility, and opportunities to influence project outcomes while developing leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design and analysis for building projects of varying complexity.
Take ownership of project deliverables, design accuracy, and quality assurance.
Perform and review structural calculations, including load paths and environmental loading considerations.
Develop structural framing systems and innovative design solutions.
Coordinate with architects, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Oversee and mentor junior engineers and designers.
Manage project schedules, technical documentation, and design decisions.
Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
Review RFIs, submittals, site observations, and field reports during construction.
Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
Identify project risks, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years' experience within a consulting engineering environment.
Strong structural design and analysis experience across building projects.
Proficiency with structural engineering software and analysis tools.
Practical Revit experience.
Demonstrated project leadership and coordination experience.
Excellent communication, client-facing, and time management skills.
Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineering staff.
Professional Engineer (PE) licence preferred, or actively working towards professional registration.
