Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager (P.E. Required) - Diagnostics & Restoration
We are representing a leading global AEC firm in their search for a Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager with an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license to join their Diagnostics Group. This is a high-impact role for a technically accomplished professional with expertise in restoration, rehabilitation, renovation, and forensic engineering.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will oversee the technical and contractual execution of multiple projects, while also contributing to business development and strategic growth. Projects span across the U.S. and internationally, with a focus on building restoration, parking structure rehabilitation, building envelope issues, and forensic investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead proposal development and support RFQ/RFP responses.
- Define project scopes and delegate tasks effectively.
- Conduct code research and apply industry standards.
- Author and oversee technical assessment reports.
- Direct field investigations, including non-destructive testing (travel required).
- Develop repair strategies, design documentation, and specifications.
- Monitor construction and repair implementation, ensuring quality assurance.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RAM).
- Strong understanding of structural systems and building envelope performance.
- Comfortable working at heights and on suspended scaffolding.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structures focus preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with a track record of growth.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required. (S.E. is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to win new business and build client relationships.
