LVI Associates is partnering with a well-established structural engineering firm to identify a Structural Project Engineer for their West Sacramento office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on design experience while working closely with senior engineers, architects, and project teams across a variety of building types.

The Opportunity

The Structural Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting the technical delivery of projects from early design through construction. This individual will contribute to structural analysis, system coordination, and project execution while gaining exposure to all phases of the project lifecycle. The client is seeking someone who is technically curious, collaborative by nature, and motivated to continue developing their engineering skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis and design of structural systems, including both lateral and gravity components
  • Assist in developing alternative design approaches and value-driven solutions for client review
  • Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance processes
  • Coordinate structural documentation with architects and other consultants
  • Respond to plan check comments and assist with construction phase engineering support
  • Perform site visits and field observations as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Two or more years of professional or industry-specific engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering fundamentals and design concepts
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes and local jurisdictional requirements
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary coordination, including MEP systems

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary in the range of $95,000 to $120,000 plus annual profit-sharing bonus
