Location: Salt Lake City & Provo, UT corridor
Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 (DOE)
Experience Required: 5-10+ years in heavy civil field supervision
Travel: Limited regional travel; home most nights
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects throughout the Wasatch Front. This role oversees day‑to‑day site activities, coordinates crews and subcontractors, and ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality.

Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise daily field operations, crews, and subcontractors
- Coordinate equipment, manpower, and materials to meet schedule milestones
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintained on-site
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documents
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and inspectors
- Track production, quantities, delays, and maintain daily reports
- Oversee quality control for utilities, concrete, grading, structures, and roadway work
- Assist with project planning, sequencing, and look‑ahead schedules
- Maintain a professional relationship with owners, agencies, inspectors, and the public
- Resolve field issues quickly while keeping projects on schedule and on budget
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years supervising heavy civil construction projects
- Strong background in highways, bridges, earthwork, utilities, concrete, and municipal infrastructure
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple scopes of work
- Solid understanding of production rates, sequencing, and heavy equipment operations
- Ability to read blueprints, project specs, and civil/structural drawings
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to travel to regional job sites but be home most nights
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus but not required
