A national leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Survey Project Manager to support the overall direction, coordination, implementation, quality assurance/quality control, and successful completion of survey-related projects. This role also involves mentoring junior staff, supporting client satisfaction, and contributing to business development under the guidance of regional and divisional survey leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage project tasks, scheduling, and resource requirements.
Oversee project budgets and evaluate profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization.
Conduct team meetings to coordinate workload and ensure project alignment.
Stay current on survey-industry trends, technologies, software, hardware, and field equipment.
Promote value through innovation and continuous improvement.
Assist survey leadership in establishing, implementing, and maintaining operational procedures and quality standards.
Ensure consistent formatting, accuracy, and efficiency across all survey deliverables within the team.
Work with leadership teams on staffing levels, workload balancing, and utilization planning.
Collaborate with leadership to strengthen the firm's survey presence locally and nationally, including strategic pursuits of large‑scale survey opportunities.
Support business development by providing technical expertise and contributing to revenue generation.
Help cultivate a strong, positive team culture aligned with organizational goals and core values.
Ensure company values, policies, and practices are followed consistently throughout survey operations.
Demonstrate strong leadership, professionalism, sound judgment, honesty, and transparency.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Active Professional Surveyor License (or significant equivalent experience for non‑licensed individuals).
Strong understanding of the land surveying profession, including experience supporting civil engineering projects.
Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience.
Proven project management experience.
Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
