Transportation Project Manager
The Civil Project Manager, Transportation will be responsible for:
- Leading transportation, roadway, drainage, and sewer infrastructure projects from planning and design through delivery.
- Managing project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and quality control to ensure successful project execution.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships while identifying opportunities for additional work.
- Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support.
- Preparing technical proposals, scopes of work, qualification packages, and participating in client interviews and presentations.
- Coordinating resources across multiple project teams and collaborating with company leadership to meet project and business objectives.
- Supporting contract negotiations, reviewing project invoicing, managing scope changes, and ensuring projects are delivered profitably.
The Civil Project Manager, Transportation should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana, or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, roadway design, drainage systems, and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary engineering projects, including budget, schedule, and client expectations.
- Strong understanding of roadway design principles, geometric design, alternative delivery methods, and the full project lifecycle from concept through final design.
- Experience preparing proposals, developing pursuit strategies, and successfully winning new work.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills with clients, public agencies, and internal teams.
