We are seeking a Traveling Surveyor to support a variety of transportation, municipal, land development, utility, and infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, traveling to different project sites, and playing a critical role in delivering accurate survey data that drives engineering and construction projects.

Responsibilities
- Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA, route, construction, and utility surveys.
- Travel to project sites throughout the region, often spending multiple days in the field.
- Operate GPS, robotic total stations, laser scanning, and other survey equipment.
- Collect, verify, and document accurate field data.
- Establish and recover survey control points.
- Support construction staking and layout activities.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors.
- Maintain field notes and project documentation.
- Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior survey staff as experience allows.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of professional land surveying experience.
- Experience with transportation, municipal, utility, or land development projects preferred.
- Proficiency with GPS and robotic total station equipment.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data processing software is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel extensively and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
