The Opportunity
As a Travelling HVAC Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle delivery of major mechanical scopes on mission-critical projects. You will oversee project planning, execution, financial performance, client relationships, and field operations while managing large project teams across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, have extensive experience managing complex HVAC and piping installations, and possess a strong understanding of mission-critical construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction projects valued at $40M+.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting.
- Direct project schedules to ensure milestones and completion dates are achieved.
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Oversee procurement, material management, and subcontract execution.
- Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field staff.
- Drive safety, quality, and commissioning initiatives throughout project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ensure successful turnover and project closeout documentation.
- Travel to project sites nationwide and provide leadership throughout construction.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of HVAC, mechanical construction
- Proven experience managing mechanical scopes on projects valued at $20M+
- Strong background in commercial, industrial, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data center construction.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water, piping, and mechanical plant infrastructure.
- Experience managing project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and change orders.
- Ability to travel extensively and work on-site for project durations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
