Water Reuse Operator - Los Angeles, CA (Full-Time, $60-90k)
We are seeking a hands‑on Water Reuse Operator to support the operation and maintenance of onsite water reuse systems across California and the western U.S. The role includes assisting with daily plant operations, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain multiple onsite water reuse systems under guidance from senior operators.
- Monitor gauges, meters, and SCADA systems; identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Record operational data and support routine maintenance to prevent system breakdowns.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding system conditions and operational needs.
- Participate in on‑call rotations, including occasional nights and weekends.
- Qualifications
- Minimum California Wastewater Operator‑in‑Training (OIT) certification or higher.
- Ability to interpret gauges, meters, SCADA data, and alarms.
- Experience with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, and related components.
- Ability to collect samples and perform routine lab tests.
- Strong communication, decision‑making, and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors, in varied weather, on rotating shifts, and around chemicals and equipment.
Preferred
- Prior maintenance experience and familiarity with wastewater treatment principles.
