Water/Wastewater Project Engineer
Our client, a leading employee-owned consulting firm, is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join their expanding team in the Mid-Atlantic region. Role Overview
As a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, you'll lead the planning and execution of complex design projects. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs, regulatory standards, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Develop engineering designs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Analyze survey data, maps, and reports to inform planning and design.
Identify performance deficiencies in collection/distribution systems and recommend solutions.
Prepare design calculations, technical reports, cost estimates, and specifications.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct quality reviews and ensure compliance with project standards.
Attend client meetings and contribute to effective communication and documentation.
Provide mentorship and technical support to junior staff.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
5-10 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater or civil engineering.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of hydraulic design, pump station design, and sewer/water rehabilitation techniques.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Familiarity with local and state-level clients is a plus.
