Full‑time role with hybrid flexibility and fieldwork as required by project needs.


Role Summary

As a Wetland Scientist, you will play a vital role in supporting municipal and public‑sector projects by ensuring environmental compliance and sustainable outcomes. You will work within a collaborative environmental services team, partnering with engineers, planners, and regulatory agencies to guide projects from field assessment through permitting and approval.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct wetland and waterway delineations, reporting, and regulatory permitting
  • Perform navigability assessments and Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) determinations
  • Complete rare species habitat assessments and presence/absence surveys
  • Collect and manage field data using GPS equipment and mapping tools
  • Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with internal teams and regulatory stakeholders to support successful project delivery

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field from a U.S. accredited institution
  • 8+ years of experience in wetland science, environmental consulting, or a related discipline
  • Strong oral, written, and analytical communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in both office and field environments
  • Willingness to travel and work in varying field conditions
  • Applicable U.S.‑based professional work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a related environmental discipline
  • Experience with GIS and mapping software (e.g., ArcMap, Field Maps)
  • Proficiency using GPS equipment (e.g., Trimble)
  • Experience supporting municipal or infrastructure‑related projects
