Wildlife Biologist Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage wildlife-focused projects involving CEQA/NEPA biological assessments, habitat evaluations, and regulatory permitting.
Write and review technical reports, impact analyses, and mitigation strategies in compliance with California and federal environmental regulations.
Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and interdisciplinary teams.
Supervise and mentor field biologists and junior staff.
Manage project schedules, scopes, and budgets with a focus on high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
M.S. or B.S. degree in wildlife biology, ecology, or a related field.
5-10+ years of relevant professional experience, including project management in environmental consulting.
Strong working knowledge of CEQA, NEPA, and state/federal wildlife regulations (CDFW, USFWS).
Proven skills in technical writing and biological impact analysis.
Familiarity with sensitive species in California ecosystems (e.g., California tiger salamander, San Joaquin kit fox, burrowing owl).
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

Salary Range:
$95,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
