Title: Automation Engineer
Introductory paragraph:
Our client is looking for an experienced automation engineer to join their team at our location in the beautiful city of Rochester. The ideal candidate will have expertise with PLC programming, HMI and SCADA systems, as well as experience working with Siemens products such as TIA Portal, Step7 and PCS7. Additional knowledge of Wonderware or Ignition software would be a great plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' industrial automation engineering experience required.
- Experience designing control system architectures from concept through completion
Skills:
PLC Programming:
The successful candidate must possess excellent skills related to Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming techniques used by engineers when developing automated solutions that incorporate sensors into machinery processes.
HMI & SCADA Systems:
Experience creating Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) using Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) technology is essential for this role since it involves monitoring complex manufacturing environments while providing real-time data on process performance metrics like temperature readings etc.
Siemens Products Knowledge:
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate proficiency across multiple Siemens product ranges including TIA Portal which helps automate design workflows seamlessly between machines; STEP7 which facilitates simple program development tasks quickly without losing quality output accuracy levels during testing phases - along with other tools available via these programs
Wonderware/Ignition Software Knowledge
Applicants should also show familiarity/experience utilizing proprietary platforms like Wonderware/ignition software packages where predictive maintenance features assist users identify potential problems before they occur thus reducing downtime risks significantly.
