Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Power Systems
Location: Cleveland, Ohio (preferred) or Remote (options for Midland, Michigan)
Job Summary:
The Power Systems Electrical Engineer will perform electrical power systems studies and analysis for utility and industrial clients. Utilizing industry standard analysis software (ETAP, SKM, etc.), the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to create study cases, analyze results, and provide detailed written reports. A strong fundamental understanding of industrial and utility power systems and calculation methods is required.
The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems is responsible for working with clients and other Nexus personnel to prepare studies including:
- System Short Circuit Studies
- Relay Coordination Studies
- Load Flow Analysis
- Power System Harmonics Analysis
- Motor Starting Studies
- Arc Flash Hazard Studies
- Relay Setting File Creation & Analysis
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required (education in the U.S. is highly preferred)
- Working knowledge of ETAP required
- Familiarity with other systems analysis tools such as SKM is desired.
- 3-8 years of experience in power systems studies
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Products
