We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Land Surveyor out of the Cleveland and Canton area to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our surveying department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing surveying projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and expertise in land surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage surveying projects, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and construction staking.
- Conduct fieldwork using advanced surveying instruments and technology to collect accurate data.
- Analyze survey data, prepare survey reports, maps, and legal descriptions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveying staff, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the field of land surveying.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Ohio.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying, with a strong background in both field and office work.
- Proficiency in surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or GIS applications.
- Thorough understanding of relevant surveying laws, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
