Responsibilities:
- Oversee projects and proposal endeavors of varying scales
- Supervise two or more biologists
- Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractor
- Assist your team leader in staff development and team-building initiatives
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in leading successful aquatic resources and endangered species permitting and mitigation endeavors
- Proficiency in overseeing and executing biological site assessments and environmental constraints analyses
- Capability in managing deliverables essential for regulatory permit applications, CEQA documents, and environmental due diligence investigations (e.g., wetland delineations, rare plant surveys, habitat assessments, biological resources technical reports)
- Fundamental understanding of the California Environmental Quality Act and demonstrated experience collaborating with CEQA experts
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities
- Experience in guiding and supporting junior project managers and entry-level technical personnel, or a strong inclination to do so
- Proficiency in wetland delineation
- Expertise in botanical studies, including rare plant surveys
- Knowledge of stream and riparian habitat restoration, encompassing planning, permitting, species selection, and implementation/monitoring strategies Understanding of tidal marsh ecology
- Familiarity with Coastal Zone and Bay shoreline permitting procedures
- Experience in compliance reporting Skills in managing invasive plant species
