Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will oversee and deliver major contracts, encompassing design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, cost control, WHS, environmental, quality, installation, commissioning, and handover. The role requires familiarity with Australian Contract Standards, and financial management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. They will coordinate closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple major projects concurrently.
- Manage the full project lifecycle from design to handover.
- Provide financial project control and regularly report project status to Senior Management.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, processes, and procedures, including safety and quality standards.
- Offer technical guidance, instructions, and advice to the Project Team to ensure quality and timely project completion.
- Review design and documentation to ensure compliance with design criteria and standards.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to meet project deliverables on time and within budget.
- Understand treatment and control systems and suggest process improvements.
- Oversee the development of project quality and site safety documentation, including management plans, SWMS, and ITPs.
- Manage multiple site installations, site commissioning, and process proving activities.
- Focus on safety, perform HAZOPs, risk assessments, SMWs, and ensure the consistent use of these tools and processes.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other relevant tertiary qualification.
- 6-10 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience:
- A minimum of 6-10 years in project management, specifically in executing building projects for clients, both site and office-based.
- Strong preference for experience in water and wastewater treatment.
- Essential local project experience in QLD or NSW.
