Currently Hiring for a Trainer for System Operations Training, focusing on electric transmission systems. This hybrid role starts with three months of full-time office work.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement System Operations Training programs.
- Conduct training using adult learning principles and simulations.
- Update training materials per regulatory changes.
- Evaluate vendor training content.
- Support system emergencies and incident analyses.
Skills:
- Knowledge of electric transmission operations and switching/tagging procedures.
- Familiarity with EMS, DTS, NERC standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and online presentation tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years in power distribution, transmission, or generation.
- Preferred: 4 years as a System Operator, 1 year as a trainer.
- Valid driver's license.
- NERC Transmission Operator certification (or obtain within 6 months).
Working Conditions:
- Available for emergency storm assignments.
- Travel within MA/CT/NH as needed.
