Travelling MEP Superintendent

As an MEP Superintendent, you will play a key role in delivering complex, mission-critical data center projects, leading field execution and ensuring all systems are installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

If you enjoy working in fast-paced, technically demanding environments and take pride in delivering high-quality builds, this is a strong opportunity to make an impact.

What you'll be doing

Preconstruction and planning:

  • Review contract documents, drawings, and MEP scopes to fully understand project requirements
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and other Superintendents to plan site logistics, sequencing, and setup
  • Conduct site walks to assess existing conditions and identify potential risks early
  • Coordinate long-lead items, permitting requirements, and trade mobilization with relevant authorities
  • Review BIM models and drawings to ensure coordination and constructability

Project execution and field leadership:

  • Oversee daily field operations across all MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, low voltage, and controls
  • Track progress, manage T&M activities, and support cost tracking and forecasting
  • Lead subcontractor coordination meetings on a daily and weekly basis
  • Identify risks or delays early and put mitigation plans in place
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with design
  • Maintain detailed daily reports, RFIs, and as-built documentation
  • Manage sequencing, scheduling, commissioning, and installation planning across all MEP trades

Team, client, and safety leadership:

  • Act as the main on-site representative, building strong relationships with clients, consultants, inspectors, and subcontractors
  • Communicate clearly with field teams to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and responsibilities
  • Promote a strong safety culture, lead toolbox talks and JHAs, and enforce all site safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, client standards, and site-specific requirements

What we're looking for:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 10+ years of supervision experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects, including at least one mission-critical project
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and quality control
  • In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and critical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, CRAHs, and BMS
  • Experience managing field reporting, coordination, and issue resolution on active job sites

Preferred:

  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, BIM platforms, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and Integrated Systems Testing

Why join US:

  • Deliver high-profile, mission-critical data center projects
  • Join an employee-owned company where your contribution matters
  • Take full ownership of field operations and drive results on site
  • Work in a team-focused, accountable environment

What's on offer:

  • Competitive salary and bonus structure
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan
  • Career development and mentorship opportunities
  • Full benefits package including health, dental, and vision
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • A collaborative culture where your input is valued
