Construction Director

The Wind Farm Construction Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities for nearshore wind energy projects. This includes managing civil, electrical, and mechanical works, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and delivering the project on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the construction phase of nearshore wind farm projects from mobilization to commissioning.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
- Monitor construction progress and prepare regular reports on schedule, cost, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Manage site logistics, including marine operations, transportation of components, and installation of wind turbines.
- Resolve technical and operational issues on-site in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Support the project manager in budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks throughout the construction process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in construction management, preferably in wind energy or marine infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, marine logistics, and offshore/nearshore installation techniques.
- Familiarity with HSE regulations and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
