Construction Engineering Project Manager - Norwood, MA

A dynamic engineering firm is seeking a Construction Engineering Project Manager to join its Norwood, Massachusetts office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, analysis, and execution of construction engineering projects including:
    • Temporary work trestles
    • Erection and demolition plans
    • Shoring, cribbing, and support of excavation
    • Control of water and structural repairs
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and team coordination.
  • Serve as the primary contact for contractors, transportation agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare complete engineering plans, reports, and documentation using design software.
  • Oversee engineering computations and ensure compliance with conventional practices.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Participate in proposal development, client interviews, and fee estimation.
  • Monitor project budgets, billing accuracy, and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and staff receive appropriate training.
  • Attend meetings and events outside of standard working hours as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in construction engineering or management.
  • Desire to grow in project management and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.
  • Proficiency in STAAD, RISA 3D, Shoring Suite, LPile and other structural analysis software.
  • Skilled in CAD tools such as Autodesk, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with MassDOT Bridge Manual, AASHTO LRFD, and permitting standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills.
  • Active involvement in professional societies such as ASCE, AISC, CMAA, WTS, or AREMA is a plus.
