Title: Project Manager / Estimator
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
Location: Kansas City Region
A leading electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join their Kansas City branch. In this role, you will oversee projects from bid preparation through closeout while delivering accurate estimates and driving operational excellence.
If you have strong experience in Overhead and Underground (UG) Distribution work-and enjoy managing complex, high‑impact utility projects this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career within a growing regional team. Transmission or Substation experience is also a strong plus.
The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for:
- Managing project activities from initial bid to closeout
- Preparing detailed estimates, budgets, and schedules
- Ensuring on‑site safety and regulatory compliance
- Coordinating subcontractors, materials, and procurement
- Overseeing quality assurance and adherence to project specifications
- Managing project documentation, submittals, and reporting
- Supporting business development and client engagement
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Project Management and Estimating
- Strong background in Overhead & Underground (UG) Distribution
- Transmission/Substation experience (preferred but not required)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross‑functionally
- Valid driver's license
