Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Roofing Project Manager to lead new construction roofing projects from pre-construction through final delivery. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in commercial roofing systems and a strong track record of managing large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Oversee all phases of commercial roofing projects for new construction, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, site supervisors, and roofing crews to ensure timely and high-quality installation.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications.

Technical Oversight:

  • Review architectural plans and specifications to ensure proper roofing system design and integration.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, building codes, and project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions in real time.

Team & Resource Management:

  • Manage labor resources, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Supervise foremen and field staff, ensuring alignment with project goals and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of roofing materials.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, construction managers, and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and challenges.
  • Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation and approvals.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records including daily logs, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.
  • Ensure timely completion of punch lists, inspections, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing project management, specifically in new construction.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, and metal roofing.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA certification and strong understanding of job site safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
