Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Roofing Project Manager to lead new construction roofing projects from pre-construction through final delivery. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in commercial roofing systems and a strong track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Oversee all phases of commercial roofing projects for new construction, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
- Coordinate with general contractors, site supervisors, and roofing crews to ensure timely and high-quality installation.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications.
Technical Oversight:
- Review architectural plans and specifications to ensure proper roofing system design and integration.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, building codes, and project requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions in real time.
Team & Resource Management:
- Manage labor resources, equipment, and materials to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Supervise foremen and field staff, ensuring alignment with project goals and safety standards.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of roofing materials.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, construction managers, and subcontractors.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and challenges.
- Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records including daily logs, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports.
- Ensure timely completion of punch lists, inspections, and closeout documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing project management, specifically in new construction.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, and metal roofing.
- Familiarity with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA certification and strong understanding of job site safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
