Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and execution-oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead a newly formed blue-collar services roll-up platform.
The ideal candidate will bring deep operational expertise, a strong grasp of blue-collar service dynamics, and a proven track record of integrating multiple acquired businesses into a unified, high-performing organization. The CEO will not be responsible for sourcing deals - that will be led by the PE firm - but must be highly skilled at post-close integration, cultural unification, talent development, and infrastructure build-out. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and operational rigour.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute the long-term vision for the platform in alignment with the private equity sponsor's value creation plan.
- Translate investment thesis into operational reality through disciplined execution.
Post-Acquisition Integration
- Lead integration of acquired businesses, focusing on operational alignment, technology consolidation, shared services, and culture.
- Standardize processes, systems, and performance metrics across all entities.
Operational Excellence
- Drive improvements in service delivery, customer satisfaction, margin expansion, and field operations.
- Implement scalable systems and tools to support multi-site, multi-brand operations.
Team Building
- Recruit and develop a high-performance corporate leadership team (e.g., COO, CFO, CHRO, Head of Integration).
- Instill a performance-driven, accountable, and collaborative culture.
Financial Stewardship
- Partner with the CFO and PE sponsor on budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and reporting.
- Maintain a strong command of unit-level economics and cost discipline.
Change Management
- Navigate and unify different operating cultures across acquired companies.
- Serve as the face of change and stability to frontline employees and legacy owners.
Qualifications:
- Proven CEO or GM/P&L leadership experience in a multi-site, services-based, blue-collar environment (e.g., commercial HVAC, janitorial, fire/life safety, industrial services, construction subcontracting, etc.)
- Demonstrated success in integrating multiple acquired businesses under a unified operating model.
- Deep experience building out corporate infrastructure from scratch (systems, shared services, org design).
- Track record of team building and leadership development in a growing, evolving business.
- Strong operational and financial acumen; data-driven, with a bias for execution.
- Experience operating in a private equity environment strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working in a high-change, fast-paced setting with limited legacy infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both on the shop floor and in the boardroom.
