A well-established geotechnical consulting firm with multiple offices across California is seeking experienced and motivated Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineers to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of geotechnical challenges in both urban and natural environments.
About the Role:
As a Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer, you will contribute to diverse projects involving slope stability, foundation design, landslide mitigation, and infrastructure development. You'll be involved in both field and office work, supporting project delivery from investigation through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct geotechnical field investigations and laboratory testing.
- Perform engineering analyses including slope stability, settlement, and foundation design.
- Prepare technical reports, design recommendations, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Mentor junior staff and assist with project management tasks.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. preferred).
- 5-15 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- California PE license required, California GE License preffered
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., SLOPE/W, LPILE, gINT, PLAXIS) is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork.
