Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects including sitework, utilities, roadways, and infrastructure
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to develop accurate pricing
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure scope alignment and cost accuracy
- Assist in bid strategy and proposal development
- Maintain historical cost data and update unit pricing databases
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience estimating heavy civil construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
