Managing Director - Construction Disputes & Advisory
Overview:
LVI Associates are seeking a Managing Director to lead and expand our clients Construction Disputes practice, specialising in delay analysis, quantum/damages, and expert advisory services on high‑value, complex construction and infrastructure matters.
This is a strategic senior hire for a proven leader with a strong reputation in the disputes and claims community, capable of driving revenue, building client relationships, and delivering expert witness services on major domestic and international projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Construction Disputes practice across delay, scheduling, and damages/quantum.
- Oversee expert analysis on delay, disruption, productivity loss, and financial damages.
- Prepare and/or review expert reports, rebuttals, and joint statements.
- Serve as a testifying expert (or oversee testifying engagements) in arbitration and litigation.
- Manage client relationships with law firms, contractors, owners, insurers, and developers.
- Drive business development, revenue growth, and strategic market positioning.
- Mentor, train, and develop a high‑performing team of consultants and experts.
- Oversee P&L performance, forecasting, and operational leadership.
Qualifications
- 15+ years' experience in construction disputes, delay analysis, damages quantification, or forensic scheduling.
- Proven expertise preparing expert reports and ideally testifying in disputes.
- Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, as-planned vs. as-built, windows analysis, and related methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of cost and quantum principles including change orders, productivity impacts, and cumulative impact claims.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, client portfolios, and P&L.
- Established network within disputes consulting and construction law.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
