Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Wastewater Practice Leader to join its collaborative national team. This individual will play a key role in leading and supporting design and permitting efforts for a variety of wastewater distribution systems, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and wastewater master plans. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with top industry leadership to drive the growth of a multi-disciplinary practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and permitting of wastewater components for residential, institutional, commercial, warehouse distribution, and mixed-use projects for both public and private clients
- Collaborate with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives
- Drive business development by cultivating new clients and maintaining existing relationships
- Integrate multi-disciplinary services including geotechnical and environmental engineering into land development projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Valid Professional Engineer license
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience focused on wastewater systems, pump station design, and wastewater treatment plant design
- Strong client development and management skills
- Expertise in wastewater design and hydraulic analysis
- Experience in technical and proposal writing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D
- Active participation in professional organizations
- Ability to work independently and in teams, and mentor junior staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, multitasking, and sound judgment
- Reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits; valid driver's license in good standing
