About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the development and execution of onshore and/or offshore wind energy projects. This role involves overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage wind energy projects from feasibility through commissioning, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, legal, and environmental specialists.
- Oversee permitting processes, grid connection applications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout project execution.
- Monitor project performance and report progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support contract negotiations and manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
Required Technical Skills
- Wind Energy Systems: Understanding of turbine technology, layout optimization, wake effects, and performance modeling.
- Electrical Infrastructure: Knowledge of substations, cabling, grid codes, and interconnection requirements.
- Civil Engineering: Familiarity with foundation design, access roads, and site preparation.
- Project Planning Tools: Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar for scheduling and resource management.
- GIS & Wind Resource Assessment: Experience with tools like WindPro, WAsP, or OpenWind for site analysis and energy yield estimation.
- Regulatory & Permitting: Knowledge of environmental impact assessments, land use regulations, and permitting procedures.
- Contract & Procurement: Experience with EPC contracts, tendering processes, and supplier evaluation.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Strong Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in wind energy project management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple interfaces and tight deadlines.
