Job Title: Stream Restoration Engineer
Location: Richmond, VA
Salary: $90,000 - 120,000
Position Overview:
The position demands expertise in project management, stream restoration design, and data-driven analysis, with additional experience in site characterization and remediation considered beneficial. Responsibilities include providing final technical advisement, document review, and support in complex contract and regulatory negotiations. Strong leadership, communication, technical writing, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to manage complex tasks and engage with senior-level clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and make decisions aligned with core values and HSSE standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across all operations.
- Serve as team engineer or project PE for complex remedial and compliance projects.
- Provide expert technical review, mentorship, and training to engineering staff.
- Identify and champion technical improvements and contribute to client development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Rosgen Level III or IV training with a minimum of 5 years in stream restoration design.
- Proven experience in ecological restoration, risk assessment, and regulatory negotiations.
- Ability to serve as an expert witness in technical legal or compliance matters.
- Licensed professional engineer with strong document review and approval capabilities.
- Skilled in mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
