Job Title: Wind Turbine Service Technician
Location: Onsite across Japan, mainly in Northern Hokkaido, Aomori, Fukushima, Kyushu region

About the Role:
My client is hiring for a Wind Turbine Service Technician to play a key role in maintaining and optimizing wind energy assets. You'll be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing wind turbines to ensure maximum efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Document service reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with site teams and engineers to improve turbine performance.

Daily Overview:
Climb to the wind turbine approximately 70 meters above ground to inspect and maintain it. 
8:00 AM: Prepare daily reports and hold a morning meeting.

9:00 AM: Inspect cars and snowmobiles, then work at the wind turbine.

Lunch break.

4:00 PM: Shaping, preparation for the next day, and an evening meeting.

5:00 PM: Return home. 

Training Structure:
Assistance work for 3-6 months after joining the company.

Training program is designed to enable you to become a basic technician within 1 year, performing tasks such as bolt tightening.

This position does not correspond to construction site labor positions.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid standard driver's license and ability to travel to remote sites.
  • Technical diploma or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  • Previous experience in wind turbine maintenance or similar field preferred, however open for completely no experience before!
  • Interest in renewable energy and wind power, with willingness to learn new knowledge
