Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the on-site or liaison engineer for transportation infrastructure projects funded by local or government agencies
  • Lead and mentor inspection teams, including engineers, inspectors, and documentation staff
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and the public
  • Oversee all phases of construction, including demolition, utility installation, traffic management, signal installation, and roadway paving
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Supervise work assignments and monitor team performance
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders and contractors
  • Assist in resolving design, field, and scheduling issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois
  • Minimum 7 years of construction engineering experience
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to foster collaboration
  • Certification in project documentation standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
