Chicago | Transportation Program Manager
My client is seeking an experienced Transportation Program Manager to help lead and grow transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest. This is a leadership opportunity for a proven engineering professional with experience managing large, complex transportation programs and working closely with state and local agencies.
What You'll Do
- Lead and oversee complex transportation and infrastructure programs from planning through project completion.
- Manage large-scale projects involving highways, bridges, rail, transit, and other public infrastructure.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, project teams, agencies, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee program scope, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership on transportation initiatives.
- Support construction management efforts and help resolve technical and program-related challenges.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, contracts, presentations, and project documentation.
- Partner with business development teams on pursuits, proposals, client presentations, and RFP responses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public agencies and clients.
- Mentor junior staff and promote collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in professional organizations, industry events, and technical committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of relevant transportation, infrastructure, engineering, or project delivery experience.
- 5+ years of program management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed based on project requirements.
