Transportation Market Leader- South Carolina
A growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Transportation Practice Leader to help build and expand its transportation presence across South Carolina.
This opportunity is ideal for a transportation engineering professional who enjoys developing client relationships, winning work, mentoring teams, and having a seat at the table when it comes to business strategy. You'll have the autonomy to shape the direction of the practice while working alongside an established technical team responsible for day-to-day project delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive the growth and expansion of the transportation practice throughout South Carolina.
- Develop relationships with SCDOT, local governments, MPOs, and key transportation stakeholders.
- Lead business development efforts, capture planning, and major pursuits.
- Help identify new markets, clients, and revenue opportunities.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop transportation engineering talent.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on long-term strategic initiatives.
- Provide executive-level guidance on project delivery, quality, and client service.
- Support teams in delivering roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects.
What We're Looking For
- PE license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of South Carolina transportation programs and project delivery.
- Established relationships within the transportation industry.
- Experience growing client accounts and leading successful pursuits.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and developing staff.
