The Role

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of land development projects from planning through completion. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, monitor project performance, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership ability, and commercial awareness, with a strong focus on mentoring staff and driving outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage land development projects, including design coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring objectives and deadlines are clearly communicated.
  • Develop and mentor engineering staff, helping maximize team effectiveness and professional growth.
  • Prepare proposals, define project scope, and support contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project progress and make decisions to maintain schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while providing guidance and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges proactively to ensure successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of relevant land development or civil engineering experience.
  • PE license preferred but not required.
  • Strong background in project design, coordination, and technical delivery.
  • Proven experience managing project financials and project teams.
  • Track record of developing client relationships and generating repeat business.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to successfully deliver projects with limited oversight.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff.
