The Role
A project engineering position with real technical ownership across civil design and project delivery. You'll work directly alongside experienced project managers and principal engineers, contributing to all phases of land development projects while building your skills in client coordination, technical design, and project management fundamentals.
Responsibilities
Technical
- Perform and review engineering calculations, reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents
- Support design and technical execution across site grading, utility, stormwater, and infrastructure projects
- Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards
- Coordinate engineering activities with survey, planning, permitting, and other project disciplines
- Support construction through site visits, RFI responses, and technical recommendations
Project Support
- Assist in managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource coordination
- Support invoice review and project financial tracking
- Assist with change orders and contract documentation
- Help identify and escalate project risks as needed
Client and Business Development
- Support client coordination and communication throughout project delivery
- Assist in preparation of SOQs, proposals, and technical presentations
- Participate in meetings with clients, agencies, and industry stakeholders
Leadership
- Coordinate with and provide guidance to junior engineering staff
- Contribute to a collaborative, accountable team environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Washington State PE license
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience
- Private-sector land development experience required
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and Bluebeam
- Valid Washington State driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-state PE licensure
- Public-sector project experience
- Construction field experience

Compensation
- $90,000 to $130,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus
