What You Will Do
We're seeking a civil engineer who brings both technical excellence and strong communication skills. In this role, you will work on a variety of land development projects, including:
- Single‑family and multi‑family residential communities
- Mixed‑use and commercial sites
- Retail, industrial, and urban infill developments
You will:
- Produce and oversee civil design including grading, utilities, stormwater, roadways, and erosion control
- Coordinate directly with clients, public agencies, and multi‑discipline project teams
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Huitt‑Zollars' collaborative team culture
- Help maintain and grow client relationships to support future project opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Active P.E. license or ability to obtain in Washington
- 4-8 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development
- Strong proficiency in Civil 3D
- Experience preparing grading, utility, stormwater, and site development plans
- Understanding of Washington permitting processes and agency coordination
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work closely with clients and team members
- Self‑driven, organized, and committed to high‑quality design
