Compensation: $115,000 - $160,000 annually (DOE)

A dynamic and employee-owned consulting firm is looking for a Water Engineer to support its growing public infrastructure division. This role is ideal for a civil engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about improving community infrastructure through thoughtful design and engineering.

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for delivering technical design and project coordination on a variety of public works initiatives. These may include utility systems, surface water management, roadway improvements, and public infrastructure. You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate conceptual designs into detailed engineering plans and specifications.
  • Conduct technical analyses and prepare documentation for permitting and construction.
  • Lead or support field investigations and site assessments.
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to junior staff and technical team members.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development.

What You Bring:

  • Active PE license in Washington
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal or public sector projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of design software, particularly Civil 3D.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small teams and contribute to project delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
