About the Opportunity
We are working with a growing, minority-owned engineering firm in the Tampa / Bradenton area that provides CMT, geotechnical, and forensic engineering services.
With a strong foundation already in place, the business is now looking to build out and scale its Construction Materials Testing (CMT) division. This is a key strategic hire offering the chance to take ownership of a service line and play a major role in the firm's growth.
The Role
This position combines technical delivery, client management, and leadership, with a clear focus on growing the CMT offering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and expansion of the CMT service line
- Manage your own portfolio of projects (field oversight, reporting, client delivery)
- Build and maintain client relationships across private and public sector projects
- Support business development efforts, including entry into FDOT work
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a team of technicians and engineers
- Implement processes and help shape the operational structure of the department

Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in CMT and/or geotechnical engineering
- EIT or PE (PE preferred or on track)
- Experience with:
- Construction materials testing
- Project management and client interaction
- Field oversight and reporting
- Interest in team growth, leadership, and service line development
- Exposure to or interest in FDOT projects is a strong advantage
