Our client is a leading commissioning and critical infrastructure consulting firm supporting mission-critical projects across the United States. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Commissioning Field Specialist I to support the testing, validation, and commissioning of complex electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.

The Commissioning Field Specialist I will be responsible for...

  • Performing on-site commissioning, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities
  • Participating in factory witness testing and equipment startups
  • Directing contractors and vendors during commissioning execution
  • Developing commissioning plans, checklists, and functional test procedures
  • Reviewing drawings, submittals, and technical documentation
  • Supporting project delivery, reporting, and issue resolution
  • Identifying project risks and assisting with mitigation strategies
  • Utilizing digital and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and project outcomes

The Commissioning Field Specialist I should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field

OR

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or controls infrastructure testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and communicate with clients and project teams
  • Ability to obtain NFPA 70E and OSHA certifications
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
