Our client is a leading commissioning and critical infrastructure consulting firm supporting mission-critical projects across the United States. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Commissioning Field Specialist I to support the testing, validation, and commissioning of complex electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
The Commissioning Field Specialist I will be responsible for...
- Performing on-site commissioning, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities
- Participating in factory witness testing and equipment startups
- Directing contractors and vendors during commissioning execution
- Developing commissioning plans, checklists, and functional test procedures
- Reviewing drawings, submittals, and technical documentation
- Supporting project delivery, reporting, and issue resolution
- Identifying project risks and assisting with mitigation strategies
- Utilizing digital and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and project outcomes
The Commissioning Field Specialist I should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field
OR
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or controls infrastructure testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
- Experience reviewing construction drawings and specifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and communicate with clients and project teams
- Ability to obtain NFPA 70E and OSHA certifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
