Data Centers Construction - Project Manager
We are working on behalf of a national construction client to appoint an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in Data Center and Mission Critical construction.
This is a key position within a growing team, focused on delivering complex, high-value projects across hyperscale and colocation environments. Candidates must have direct experience delivering data center builds and be confident managing technically demanding projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through to final delivery and close-out
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall financial performance
- Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and subcontractors
- Oversee procurement processes, subcontractor selection, and contract management
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Coordinate closely with MEP teams to ensure alignment on critical systems and commissioning
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Enforce health, safety, and compliance procedures across all phases of the project
- Drive problem-solving and risk management in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering Data Center or Mission Critical construction projects
- Strong understanding of complex MEP systems and commissioning processes
- Background working with a recognised General Contractor on large-scale projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects to completion
- Experience using construction management platforms such as Procore or BIM 360
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage project financials
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
