Requirements:
- Perform advanced technical calculations, including heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, and friction loss analyses
- Develop preliminary design layouts and redline markups to support estimating efforts
- Take ownership of specific project phases, ensuring quality and consistency throughout
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards
- Review relevant codes, design criteria, and field conditions to support accurate and constructible design solutions
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 5 years of hands-on experience in the building systems design field
- PE preferred
- Solid grasp of system layout and function-particularly in areas like air distribution and piping
- Comfortable interpreting technical drawings and plan sets
- Clear communicator, both in writing and conversation
- Proficient with design and documentation tools, including modeling software and spreadsheet applications
