We are partnering with a well-capitalized international Independent Power Producer (IPP) that is actively building out its U.S. platform and seeking a Development Manager to join its core team in Austin, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to work at the ground level of a fast-growing, long-term IPP with a proven global track record and a significant pipeline already under development across ERCOT, MISO, and PJM.
About the Role:
As Development Manager, you'll take ownership of multiple utility-scale solar and BESS projects, managing development efforts from greenfield through NTP and supporting financing, construction, and operations. This is a highly cross-functional role involving internal and external stakeholder coordination, land and permitting diligence, and project-level strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle development of complex utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects
- Coordinate with stakeholders including landowners, utilities, permitting agencies, and technical/financial consultants
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies
- Support project financing and transition to construction
- Help shape internal development processes as the team scales in the U.S.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of utility-scale solar or storage development experience
- Strong knowledge of permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and project finance fundamentals
- Proven ability to manage complex development timelines with multiple workstreams
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Environmental Science, or related field
