Director, Development - Western U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of infrastructure and energy opportunities across target Western U.S. markets.
- Build strategic relationships with developers, municipalities, utilities, institutions, and industry partners.
- Lead complex pursuits from early-stage opportunity identification through commercial structuring and internal approvals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, operations, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Develop proposals, presentations, and business cases that effectively communicate technical and commercial value.
- Monitor market trends, policy developments, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in business development, energy, infrastructure, utilities, real estate development, or consulting.
- Proven success leading complex pursuits and managing senior-level stakeholder relationships.
- Strong knowledge of Western U.S. markets and development ecosystems.
- Experience with district energy, renewable energy, HVAC systems, thermal infrastructure, utilities, or large-scale development projects is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA or advanced degree considered an asset.
