Electrical Engineer
About the Company
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for new construction, renovations, and retrofit projects.
- Develop power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and low-voltage system designs.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Create and coordinate project drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform load calculations and ensure compliance with NEC and applicable building codes.
- Coordinate designs with architects, owners, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction administration support.
- Assist with project schedules, client communication, and technical problem-solving throughout project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification required.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience within the MEP consulting industry.
- Strong proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience designing power, lighting, and life safety systems for commercial buildings.
- Knowledge of NEC, IBC, and applicable industry standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward obtaining PE license.
- Experience with commercial, multifamily, education, healthcare, or government projects.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient and sustainable building design practices.
