A growing process engineering and control systems integration company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team in New York State.
The company specializes in delivering automated process system solutions for the food, beverage, and dairy industries, providing custom engineering and professional services.
This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to adapt in a fast-paced project environment, and a solid understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles.
Responsibilities
- Develop control system architecture diagrams.
- Design control panels and electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
- Specify control system equipment, including electrical panel components and motor control center hardware.
- Prepare control system assembly documentation, including bills of materials, wire lists, and installation scopes of work.
- Prepare PLC I/O assignment lists.
- Provide direct technical support to clients on new and existing systems.
- Develop industrial network designs and specify associated equipment.
- Support commissioning and startup of control systems at customer sites throughout the U.S.
- Travel approximately 20% depending on project requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Strong AutoCAD electrical drawing and schematic design experience.
- Experience with industrial control systems and electrical panel design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working directly with clients and supporting onsite commissioning/startup activities.
- Willingness to travel throughout the U.S.
