Electrical Project Executive - Houston
Salary: $180,000 - $250,000
Projects: Large-scale commercial, healthcare, and data center projects valued up to $250 million
Description:
A Project Executive's primary responsibility is to oversee multiple large projects, providing direct oversight to project managers. This role works closely with the Estimating team during the pre-construction process and collaborates with owners, architects/engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve constructability and value engineering matters during negotiation and contract execution. The Project Executive ensures client satisfaction while maintaining the company's standards for safety, quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review owner contracts to ensure compliance
- Manage development of master project schedules and quality control programs
- Identify critical issues and milestones
- Review and approve budgets and scopes with Preconstruction Department
- Forecast potential additional cost issues
- Incorporate safety into job planning and execution
- Manage development of GMP or Lump Sum contracts
- Analyze subcontractors' financial ability to perform
- Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of job cost reports
- Develop Look-Ahead Schedules
- Oversee company's quality control program on projects
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or experience in the field
- 7+ years of experience working for an electrical subcontractor
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and Bluebeam
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and other construction documents
