Electrical Project Manager
A well-established electrical contractor in the Greater Boston area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial electrical construction projects. Responsibilities
- Manage commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout
- Oversee project budgets, cost forecasting, schedules, procurement, and billing
- Prepare, price, negotiate, and track change orders
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, and project documentation
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and field teams
- Work closely with field leadership on manpower planning, logistics, sequencing, and productivity
- Monitor project progress, financial performance, risks, and cost-to-complete
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with quality requirements
- Support project closeout while maintaining strong client relationships
Requirements
- 3+ years of project management experience with an electrical contractor
- Experience delivering commercial electrical construction projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and field operations
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, billing, and change orders
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation
- Strong communication, leadership, commercial, and organisational skills
- Experience with healthcare, life science, higher education, commercial, residential, hotel, or other complex projects is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required
